Planner – Dollarama – Mont-Royal, QC

Dollarama is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planner to join the Buying team in Mont-Royal, Quebec. As a Planner, you’ll play a key role in supporting Buyers with category strategy, product development, vendor management, and merchandising decisions that shape Dollarama’s assortments nationwide.

About the Role

As a Planner, you will support the Buyer in developing category strategies, analyzing sales trends, and ensuring item setup accuracy. You’ll manage purchase order tracking, coordinate product samples for compliance, and attend vendor presentations to support the decision-making process. Your role will also involve cross-functional collaboration to help ensure timely product delivery and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Buyers with category strategy development and execution
• Analyze data and sales trends to drive merchandising decisions
• Support product development and item selection processes
• Manage article creation and maintain accurate item setup
• Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
• Organize and review product samples for quality and compliance
• Attend buyer meetings, vendor presentations, and product reviews
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams on daily operations

Requirements / Skills

• Diploma, DEC, AEC, or Bachelor’s degree in Buying, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-ops considered an asset)
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data
• Genuine interest in retail, buying, and merchandising
