About the Role: Part Time Preloader
As a Part Time Preloader, your primary focus will be on the loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking of packages. You’ll work within UPS’s established package handling methods to ensure every parcel is processed accurately and efficiently. The role may also involve the use of heavy machinery to support daily operations.
This position operates in a dynamic, high-volume warehouse setting where teamwork, attention to detail, and physical stamina are essential. Shifts run Tuesday to Saturday, with start times between 3:30 AM and 5:00 AM, lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on daily volume. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of UPS’s daily operations, ensuring packages move through the facility accurately and on time. The work is physical and hands-on, requiring focus and consistency to meet the high standards that make UPS a global leader in package delivery and logistics.
- Load and unload UPS packages into trailers or package cars efficiently and safely
- Sort and stock packages according to UPS handling procedures
- Scan and receive incoming shipments to maintain accurate tracking records
- Learn and apply UPS’s established package handling methods correctly
- Operate heavy machinery as required to support warehouse tasks
- Perform additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Requirements / Skills
UPS is looking for dependable, physically capable individuals who can commit to early morning shifts and bring a strong work ethic to the team. Prior warehouse experience is an asset, but what matters most is your reliability, willingness to learn, and ability to keep up in a high-volume logistics environment.
- Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) regularly throughout each shift
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes to ensure accurate package sorting
- Flexible availability to work up to 5 days per week, including early morning start times
- Availability Tuesday to Saturday, with shifts starting between 3:30 AM and 5:00 AM
- Warehouse experience — preferred but not required
