About the Role: Overnight Associate

As an Overnight Associate at Walmart Vancouver, your primary focus is preparing the store for the next business day. You’ll be part of a coordinated team that strategically plans and executes overnight duties based on workload and operational priorities. A key differentiator in this role compared to day or evening positions is the stronger emphasis on labelling merchandise and placing products into backroom bins before stocking the floor.

Working overnight means you’ll need to be reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently while still being a strong team player. You’ll be expected to follow all company policies and procedures, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and complete safety sweep logs as required. Occasional customer service may also be part of your shift if customers are present.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.00/hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities

The overnight team at Walmart Vancouver handles the critical work that keeps the store running smoothly each day. From receiving merchandise to stocking shelves, every task you complete directly impacts the customer experience the following morning. Here’s what your shift will typically look like:

• Prepare the sales floor for store opening each morning, ensuring everything is in order before customers arrive
• Set, merchandise, and sign features throughout the store as directed
• Unload trailers and complete live unloading of various types of merchandise
• Pull pallets of merchandise to and from the sales floor for overnight processing
• Label merchandise and place products in backroom bins — a key focus of this overnight role
• Stock the sales floor as assigned and provide customer service when required
• Label the sales floor to ensure it’s ready and clearly organized for store opening
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
