About the Role: Overnight Associate

The Overnight Associate role at Walmart Mississauga is focused on merchandise flow — from the moment trailers arrive to the moment products hit the sales floor. You’ll be responsible for unloading trailers, pulling pallets, processing merchandise, and making sure everything is labelled and stored correctly in backroom bins. What sets this overnight role apart from daytime shifts is the stronger emphasis on labelling, backroom organization, and stocking ahead of store opening.

Working overnight also means you’ll be preparing the sales floor for store opening, setting features, signing displays, and ensuring the store looks sharp for the morning rush. Safety is a big part of the job too — you’ll be expected to maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment, complete safety sweep logs, and ensure all displays and fixtures are properly secured at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the sales floor for store opening each night, ensuring everything is in order before the first customer walks through the door
• Set and merchandise features and signage throughout the store according to company standards
• Unload trailers and complete live unloading of various types of merchandise as assigned
• Pull pallets of merchandise to and from the sales floor for overnight processing
• Label merchandise and place products accurately in backroom bins — a key differentiator of the overnight role
• Stock the sales floor as assigned and provide customer service when required
• Label the sales floor ahead of store opening to ensure clear and accurate product signage
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
