As a Member Service Assistant with Costco Wholesale Canada in Winnipeg, MB, you will help create a welcoming first and last impression by greeting members, verifying membership cards, and checking receipts at the exit. You will provide a high level of member service while supporting warehouse safety and security through regular checks on foot and using your personal vehicle.
In this role, you will help maintain safe entrances and exits, keep accurate entry counts, and support a secure and orderly warehouse environment while assisting members with directions and service needs.
About the role: Member Service Assistant
The Member Service Assistant performs hourly safety and security checks by walking the warehouse and perimeter, identifying issues such as spills, trip hazards, blocked exits, and taking action to correct them. You will complete inspection forms, share results with the duty manager, and participate in warehouse safety meetings.
You will welcome members at entry by greeting, verifying membership cards, offering carts, and keeping the entrance/exit area clean. You will also track member entry counts using a handheld counter, report counts to the Front End, and record them on weekly reports. At exit, you will verify receipt accuracy, compare to merchandise, mark receipts, and thank members while arranging quick support for any concerns.
