About the Role: Member Service Assistant

The Member Service Assistant plays a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience while supporting Costco’s safety and security standards. Responsibilities include greeting members, verifying membership cards, performing hourly safety checks, monitoring entry and exit activity, and validating receipts for accuracy. You will also provide directions, assist with carts, and help members as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet members at the entrance, verify membership cards, and maintain entry counts.
• Perform hourly warehouse safety and security checks on foot and via personal vehicle.
• Check member receipts at the exit to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Observe and support armored transport pickups and jewelry/security protocols discreetly.
• Assist members with carts, loading, and product/service directions.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free entry and exit area.
• Report suspicious activity to management or authorities when required.
• Provide courteous member service at all times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle required.
• No prior experience required; Costco provides training.
• Ability to remain observant, proactive, and courteous in all situations.
• For Quebec postings: ability to communicate in French (oral and written).
