This role puts you front and centre of the member experience — from welcoming folks at the door to ensuring a smooth and secure exit for everyone who shops at the warehouse. It’s a hands-on position that blends customer service, safety monitoring, and security responsibilities in one dynamic role.

About the Role: Member Service Assistant

As a Member Service Assistant at Costco Vancouver, your primary mission is to create a welcoming atmosphere while keeping the warehouse safe and secure. You’ll be the first and last face members see during their visit — verifying membership cards at entry, conducting receipt checks at exit, and making sure every interaction ends with a genuine thank-you. Beyond the front door, you’ll be conducting hourly safety and security walks throughout the warehouse and around the perimeter, including from your own personal vehicle after hours.

Teamwork and communication are central to this position. You’ll coordinate with the duty manager, complete inspection forms, attend warehouse safety meetings, and use a two-way radio to report on door status and suspicious activity. Costco is known for its commitment to both member satisfaction and workplace safety, and this role embodies both of those values on a daily basis.

  • Fill out inspection forms, present results to the duty manager, and attend warehouse safety meetings regularly
