Member Service Assistant – Costco – Montréal, QC

Costco Wholesale Canada is hiring a Member Service Assistant at its Montréal warehouse (300 Rue Bridge). In this position, you’ll be the first point of contact for members, ensuring a welcoming experience while performing important safety and security checks. From greeting members and verifying membership cards to conducting hourly inspections and checking receipts at exit, you’ll help maintain Costco’s high standards of service, safety, and efficiency.

About the Role

As a Member Service Assistant, you’ll actively welcome members, verify membership cards, and help keep the entrance and exit areas clean and organized. You will also count and record member entries, provide assistance when needed, and ensure each member leaves with a smooth checkout experience by checking and validating receipts.

In addition, you’ll perform hourly warehouse safety and security inspections, monitor perimeter access, and support loss prevention efforts. This role combines customer interaction with facility safety responsibilities, making it an important part of Costco’s operations in Montréal.

Requirements / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle required
• Ability to communicate in French (oral and written)
• Strong observation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Greet members, verify membership cards, and maintain clean entry/exit areas
• Perform hourly safety and security inspections inside and outside the warehouse
• Record member entry counts and report regularly to management
• Check member receipts at exit and provide courteous service
• Support perimeter monitoring using personal vehicle when required
• Report suspicious activity and assist in emergency or safety situations
• Direct members to product and service locations when needed
