About the Role
In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner, providing input and advocating for marketing initiatives across the organization. You will develop a clear point of view and make overall recommendations on AT&T’s marketing spend to maximize outcomes. Throughout the year, you will monitor performance and make necessary budget adjustments, working closely with the Marketing CFO team and other divisions to ensure that AT&T’s marketing plans are effectively tracked and measured.
Your work will be pivotal in guiding AT&T’s marketing strategy, balancing the needs of multiple products and business lines, and ensuring that our investments drive growth and profitability across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
As a Marketing Lead, your core responsibilities will include:
- Annual Marketing Budget Planning: Collaborate on the development of a bottoms-up marketing budget across the organization, providing recommendations on budget thresholds to meet or exceed business KPIs.
- Marketing Mix Investment: Provide quarterly and yearly investment recommendations linked to specific marketing actions, focusing on maximizing return on investment.
- Strategic Planning: Build cross-product investment strategies that prioritize spending based on revenue goals and market dynamics.
- Budget Maintenance: Adjust budgets throughout the year based on business conditions and revised forecasts.
- Internal Communication: Provide executive-level visibility into the marketing budgeting and annual planning process, ensuring key updates are communicated effectively.
Experience & Education
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of strategy, business intelligence, and budget planning experience in a multi-product consumer and/or B2B environment.
- MBA or other relevant advanced degrees in Finance and/or Marketing are strongly preferred.
- Experience in developing annual marketing budgets and understanding marketing concepts, trends, and best practices.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in complex budget allocations, cost forecasting, and reconciliation.
- Proven ability to drive consensus and collaborate across multiple teams, including senior leaders across functions.
Compensation & Benefits
AT&T offers a competitive salary range of $130,700 – $196,100 for this position. The starting salary within this range may vary depending on your experience, expertise, and education. In addition to a rewarding salary, AT&T provides a comprehensive benefits package, including:
