About the Role: General Manager II – Distribution

Leading a team of Operations Managers and warehouse associates, you’ll oversee every aspect of the facility — from receiving, storing, and shipping goods to implementing process improvements that drive down costs and boost productivity. You’ll be the face of the operation internally and externally, managing vendor relationships and presenting performance updates through Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) with clients.

DHL Supply Chain offers a national salary range of $82,000 to $121,000 for this position, with bonus potential on top. Responsibilities

In this senior leadership role, you’ll be accountable for the full operational performance of the Milton distribution facility. From the shop floor to the boardroom, your day-to-day responsibilities span people leadership, customer management, financial oversight, and continuous improvement — all with a focus on delivering excellence in supply chain operations.

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately
• Develop and implement strategic process improvements to minimize costs and maximize productivity across the site
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and fostering a strong team culture
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
• Leverage WMS, automation, and other technologies to track inventory and monitor performance metrics
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee cost-effective sourcing of services and supplies in line with the commercial agreement
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and key metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Lead customer relationships through daily contact, ensuring strong connections and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Own the site P&L and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to clients in collaboration with your team

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a seasoned leader who brings both operational know-how and people-first instincts to the table. The ideal candidate has a solid track record in warehouse or distribution management, is comfortable with financial accountability, and knows how to build trust with both internal teams and external clients.

• 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience, required — you know how to lead people and drive results
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing, or distribution, required — hands-on familiarity with logistics environments is essential
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics, preferred — a strong asset in this client-facing role
• Staff management skills, required — ability to coach, develop, and retain top talent
• P&L management experience, preferred — comfort with financial reporting and cost accountability
• Project management capability, preferred — able to drive initiatives from concept to completion
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred — relevant experience is equally valued
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience, preferred — familiarity with technology-driven operations
