Working Monday through Friday on a 7am–3pm shift, you’ll be part of a dynamic team in the AEMCE sector, operating powered equipment to move, stack, and manage product with precision. About the Role: Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator at DHL Supply Chain in Mississauga, your primary focus will be on operating powered industrial equipment — including forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered vehicles — to load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials throughout the warehouse. You’ll be spending approximately 80% of your shift behind the controls, keeping the flow of goods accurate and efficient.

Beyond operating equipment, you’ll play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, verifying inbound and outbound products, and ensuring everything meets customer requirements. Compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards is essential, and you’ll be expected to complete daily equipment inspections and maintain a clean, organized facility. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 6 months of experience operating an Order Picker in a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) wire guide and a Reach Truck.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be at the operational core of DHL’s supply chain, ensuring that products move efficiently, accurately, and safely throughout the facility. From loading docks to storage areas, your work keeps the entire warehouse running like clockwork.

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials for approximately 80% of each shift
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, verifying that the exact number and types of product are loaded correctly
  • Verify load accuracy by checking load count, stability, and product damage, and reporting any variances as necessary
  • Inspect inbound and outbound products to confirm they are free of damage and infestation, that code dates are properly recorded, and that products match customer requirements
  • Maintain records and reports to support inventory accuracy and operational accountability
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS safety standards at all times
  • Monitor and change equipment batteries or LP tanks as needed to maintain operational readiness
  • Assist with physical inventories and complete daily equipment inspections
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and work areas in a neat, clean, and orderly condition

Requirements / Skills

  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment
  • Minimum 6 months of experience operating an Order Picker in a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) wire guide and a Reach Truck
  • Six months of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or distribution setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Six months of general warehouse experience (preferred)
  • Availability for shift changes at quarter ends or during high-volume periods
