As a Delivery Driver with Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. in Winnipeg, MB, you’ll operate a commercial truck with air brakes and a hydraulic lift to deliver merchandise to members’ places of business. This role combines professional driving with hands-on delivery work, including unloading orders, verifying deliveries, collecting payments, and completing required paperwork.

You’ll represent Costco directly with members, so safe driving, accuracy, and courteous service are essential. The position also involves regular interaction with the Business Centre team to resolve delivery issues and handle returns.

About the role: Delivery Driver

In this position, you’ll begin each shift by reviewing route sheets, manifests, and invoices, then completing a full safety inspection of your delivery truck. You’ll drive assigned routes, unload merchandise using a manual pallet jack, dolly/hand truck, and hydraulic lift, and confirm item quantities and substitutions directly with members.

You’ll collect signatures and payments, issue return credits when needed, and return any damaged or refused items to the Business Centre. At the end of the route, you’ll return the truck, submit paperwork and payments, and support loading/unloading tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial delivery truck and obey all municipal, provincial, and federal traffic laws
• Conduct daily safety inspections of the delivery truck and loaded pallets
• Deliver merchandise to members’ businesses and unload using pallet jack, dolly, and hydraulic lift
• Verify items and quantities with members and confirm any approved substitutions
• Collect payments and signatures, issue return receipts, and complete delivery paperwork
• Provide prompt, courteous member service and coordinate missing items with the Business Centre
• Load damaged or refused items for return and arrange manager review upon return
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks at the Business Centre when required

Requirements / Skills

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
• License: Valid commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement (per provincial requirements)
• Certification: Costco Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required
• Experience: Commercial driving and delivery experience preferred; Business Centre experience an asset
• Strong knowledge of safe, defensive driving and traffic laws
• Ability to read maps and navigate delivery areas efficiently
