In this position, you’ll support the Store Manager, help manage store operations to Company guidelines, and lead Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and profitable store sales.
This is a Retail Operations leadership opportunity focused on driving results through strong execution, clear direction, and a consistent focus on safety, asset protection, and store standards. You’ll help keep the store running smoothly across a flexible schedule (mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights).
About the role: Consumables Assistant Manager
As a member of the Store Management Team, you’ll drive profitable sales by supporting sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. The role includes proactively analyzing and using sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes while controlling expenditures—then communicating sales results to Associates and guiding interpretation of results.
You’ll also help build operational plans with the Management Team by prioritizing, delegating, and providing clear direction to Managers and Associates. You’ll support optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and store standards within Company policies. Assistant Managers are cross-trained and can work proficiently in all areas of the store when needed, supporting Total Store and OMNI business initiatives.
Benefits and Salary
The pay range for this position is $56,100.00 – $66,642.50, and pay will be determined based on relevant experience. Walmart will accommodate the disability-related needs of applicants and associates as required by law.
