About the Role: Cloud Sales Representative (CSR)

As a Cloud Sales Representative at AWS, you’ll own a portfolio of accounts at various stages of their cloud adoption journey. Your core mission is to grow AWS consumption — both within existing customers and by landing net-new business. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their technical environments, business goals, and challenges, then map AWS solutions to those needs. This isn’t a transactional sales role — it requires consultative selling, strategic account planning, and the ability to build lasting relationships.

Collaboration is central to how this team operates. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including Demand Generation Representatives, Solutions Architects, and the Amazon Partner Network to deliver outcomes for customers. Benefits and Salary

AWS offers a base salary range of $72,000 to $120,300 CAD annually for this role (applicable to both Vancouver and Toronto locations). Total compensation may also include sign-on payments, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and sales incentives, depending on your experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon’s benefits package includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, and basic life & AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and access to resources supporting health and well-being.

Responsibilities

This role covers a broad and dynamic scope of work — from prospecting and discovery through to closing and account expansion. The Cloud Sales Representative is expected to manage the full sales cycle independently while leaning on internal resources and partners to accelerate deals and serve customers well.

  • Achieve annual targets including revenue quota, new workloads launched, and pipeline creation milestones
  • Drive net-new business through one-to-one and one-to-many outbound campaigns, as well as qualifying inbound leads from marketing and partner channels
  • Expand AWS service adoption within existing customer accounts through strategic account planning and management
  • Engage C-Level executives to understand their business goals and technology challenges, then align AWS solutions accordingly
  • Manage full sales cycles including prospecting, demos, discovery, technical and business case development, negotiation, and deal closing
  • Track and forecast pipeline and sales targets accurately in Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Demand Generation, Solutions Architects, Partner Sales, Business Development Representatives, and Specialists
  • Leverage the Amazon Partner Network — including System Integrators and Technology partners — to accelerate service adoption and revenue growth
  • Innovate sales plays and support broader rollout of effective go-to-market strategies across regions

Requirements / Skills

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is considered a strong asset
