About the Role: Cargo Handler / Non-Driver

As a Cargo Handler, your primary responsibilities revolve around the efficient movement of freight through the facility. You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, ensuring packages are properly scanned and sorted according to FedEx standards. Accuracy and physical endurance are key — packages can weigh up to 70 lbs, with heavier items up to 150 lbs handled using the appropriate equipment.

Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, you’ll be expected to complete all required training — including basic and recurrency training — and maintain any applicable annual accreditations. This position offers a pay rate of $21.00 per hour. The shift runs Monday to Saturday from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM (day off to be determined), with the schedule subject to change based on operational needs. Responsibilities

Working at the FedEx Fort McMurray facility, your day-to-day will focus on keeping freight moving efficiently and accurately. Every task you complete plays a direct role in ensuring shipments reach customers on time.

  • Load and unload freight from vehicles and within the facility
  • Scan packages accurately using FedEx systems to maintain tracking integrity
  • Sort freight according to destination, size, and priority
  • Handle packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
