About the Position: Baker

As a Baker at Costco, you will prepare and bake a variety of high-quality products in large quantities, using industrial equipment and adhering to precise formulas. Your role is essential in maintaining Costco’s reputation for providing freshly baked goods that meet our members’ expectations.

This position is ideal for individuals with prior baking experience who thrive in a structured, team-oriented environment focused on quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

As a Baker, your daily tasks will include:

• Measuring and assembling large quantities of ingredients using Costco formulas and calculators for adjustments.
• Operating power mixers and industrial equipment such as dough rollers, muffin depositors, and crust machines.
• Preparing batters, frostings, and fillings, and transferring raw dough to raising rooms.
• Baking products in large ovens, monitoring temperatures, and ensuring proper timing for optimal quality.
• Following sanitation, safety, and health code standards, including monitoring temperatures and pull dates.
• Providing prompt and courteous service to members and assisting with other bakery duties as needed.

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required (must be obtained on the first day).
• Proven baking experience in a high-volume environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed formulas and procedures.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physical ability to handle large ingredient containers and stand for extended periods.
