Canadian Tire Corporation is searching for an Associate Vice President (AVP), eCommerce Operations to take the helm of one of the country’s most complex and high-impact digital retail operations. This is not a typical operations role. The AVP, eCommerce Operations provides executive oversight of the full eCommerce operating model, ensuring reliability, scalability, and profitable growth. This includes establishing governance frameworks, leading cross-functional operational readiness for digital releases, and embedding new capabilities into sustainable day-to-day processes. The role also governs vendor onboarding and compliance for online-exclusive assortments, including managing ASN performance, aged orders, and vendor service-level adherence.
Customer experience outcomes sit squarely within this role’s accountability — from order cancellation rates and fulfillment reliability to Net Promoter Score (NPS) and enterprise-level incident management. The AVP will also lead a multi-disciplinary team of leaders and managers across eCommerce Operations and Digital Experience Integration, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in operational discipline and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
As AVP, eCommerce Operations, you’ll be accountable for the full lifecycle of eCommerce execution — from vendor onboarding and digital release readiness to incident management and customer recovery. This role demands both strategic vision and hands-on operational discipline, with significant cross-functional influence across the enterprise.
- Lead end-to-end operations for Online Order execution, Ship-to-Home, and Endless Aisle / Online Assortment fulfillment
- Establish and evolve operating models, governance frameworks, and controls that support growth, peak periods, and new digital capabilities
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Store Operations, Digital, IT, Fraud, Contact Centre, and Transportation to enable effective eCommerce execution
- Own operational readiness for digital releases including deployment coordination, stabilization, and issue management
- Oversee vendor onboarding, compliance, and ongoing operational performance for online-exclusive assortments
- Govern product availability, orderability, ASN performance, aged orders, and vendor service-level adherence
- Lead enterprise-level incident management, escalation, and root-cause resolution for operational disruptions
- Develop and lead a multi-disciplinary team of leaders and managers, setting clear accountabilities, performance expectations, and development plans
- Monitor key performance measures including order cancellation rates, NPS, fulfillment reliability, and vendor compliance
