Asset Protection Associate – Walmart – Saint-Jérôme, QC

Walmart Canada’s Saint-Jérôme location is looking for a dedicated Asset Protection Associate to help maintain a safe, secure shopping environment for customers, associates, vendors, and visitors. This is a hands-on role at the front lines of loss prevention, combining security patrols, investigations, and teamwork to protect the store and reduce shrink.

About the Role: Asset Protection Associate

As an Asset Protection Associate, your core mandate is to create and maintain a secure work environment while mitigating both financial and physical shrink. You’ll conduct daily facility patrols, ensure doors and showcases are properly secured, and respond to emergencies such as fire evacuations. Your role is critical to the store’s overall profitability and safety operations.

This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. You’ll be expected to follow Walmart Canada policies closely when conducting or supporting investigations, including matters related to internal theft, dishonesty, and organized retail crime. A professional and positive demeanour at all times is essential.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $19.85/hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities

Day-to-day, this role is about proactively protecting the store through patrols, surveillance, and thorough investigations. Each responsibility contributes directly to the safety of the workplace and the store’s bottom line, making this a position with real, visible impact.

• Conduct daily patrols of the facility to ensure doors, showcases, and access points are secure and functioning properly
• Make external arrests when necessary and in accordance with applicable laws and Walmart Canada policies
• Investigate instances of financial and physical shrink, communicating findings to Store Leadership or the Market Loss Prevention Manager as appropriate
• Support store evacuation procedures in the event of a fire or other emergency situation
• Conduct and support investigations related to internal theft, dishonesty, and organized retail crime in a timely and thorough manner
• Communicate information from multiple sources clearly and effectively, often presenting different perspectives to relevant parties
• Participate in store task team responsibilities as required
