About the Position: Area Manager II

In this role, you’ll lead a team of dedicated associates, ensuring operations run smoothly across key workflows: First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and work to exceed customer delivery expectations, all while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

As an Area Manager II, your responsibilities will include:

• Team Leadership: Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve operational excellence.
• Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and standards.
• Performance Oversight: Manage productivity, quality metrics, and customer delivery commitments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams like Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR to develop and execute operational plans.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks such as lifting up to 49 pounds, standing or walking for up to 12 hours, and working in variable temperature environments.
• Continuous Improvement: Use performance metrics and lean techniques to drive process improvements and enhance team performance.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed as an Area Manager II, you’ll need the following qualifications:

• Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
