Key Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Delivery – Deploy Technician, you will play a key role in managing and supporting AWS’ global network infrastructure. You will ensure seamless project execution and the scalability of our network by collaborating with various teams and utilizing your technical expertise in network troubleshooting and deployment.

  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles and ensure smooth execution.
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
  • Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking is completed for new equipment.
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

Basic Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have a strong technical background and hands-on experience with network infrastructure. The following qualifications are required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical or vocational roles such as Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management.

Preferred Qualifications

While the basic qualifications are essential, the following preferred qualifications will help you stand out as a candidate:

  • Data center experience with industry-standard certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
  • Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting tools, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
  • Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
  • Proficiency with major Command Line Protocols (e.g., Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).

Working Conditions

This position is based in Canton, MS. The role may require working in environments that are cramped, elevated, or noisy. You will be expected to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, and participate in group lifts for heavier items.

The job also involves bending, lifting, stretching, and standing or walking for extended periods. Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment and provide after-hours support is required.
