Join Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services as a WHS Specialist (Workplace Health & Safety Specialist) and support a culture focused on safe, healthy, and efficient work environments. In this role, you will help ensure that employees have the tools and resources to perform their work safely while promoting proactive health and safety behaviours.
As a WHS Specialist, you will coordinate and implement Amazon’s Global WHS Program, conduct training, track key safety metrics, and coach associates to promote positive workplace habits. This position supports compliance with corporate expectations and applicable Canadian provincial health and safety laws.
About the role: WHS Specialist
This role involves maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly safety metrics and reporting them to both local leadership and corporate teams. You will conduct risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses, support new equipment rollouts, and recommend risk mitigation strategies, including ergonomic improvements.
You will collaborate closely with on-site leadership to maintain compliance and support continuous improvement across workplace health and safety operations. The position may require a flexible schedule, including working days, nights, and/or weekends depending on building needs.

Requirements / Skills
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in workplace health & safety or related field
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Word in a professional setting
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to personnel or security matters
- Knowledge of Canadian Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) provincial laws
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in emergency response
- Experience in workers’ compensation case management
