Warehouse Associate – UPS – Guelph, ON
UPS is hiring a Warehouse Associate at their Guelph, Ontario facility — and no prior warehouse experience is required to get started. If you’re looking for a part-time morning shift with real pay, solid benefits, and room to grow inside a globally recognized company, this could be a strong fit. The position is permanent part-time, based at 550 Hanlon Creek Blvd, and runs Monday through Friday.
This is a physically active, hands-on role where you’ll be loading, unloading, and sorting packages during early morning hours. The shift runs from approximately 4:30 AM to 9:30 AM, making it a practical option for those who want structured morning work without committing to a full-time schedule. The team works inside package delivery vehicles and trailers, so comfort in that type of environment matters.
About the Role: Warehouse Associate
As a Warehouse Associate at UPS Guelph, your primary focus will be keeping packages moving accurately and efficiently through the facility. You’ll load and unload packages into delivery vehicles and trailers, sort shipments by postal code, and learn UPS’s established package handling methods. It’s repetitive but purposeful work — your accuracy and speed directly impact delivery timelines across the region.
Because this role falls under a Union Collective Agreement, you’ll have structured wage progression and defined working conditions. You’ll be expected to maintain full availability Monday through Friday and work approximately 25 hours per week. The environment is physically demanding — you’ll be lifting packages regularly, including up to 70 lbs. — so physical readiness is an important part of this position.
Benefits and Salary
The starting hourly wage is $18.50, with automatic progression under the Union Collective Agreement up to $31.49 per hour after 48 months of service. Pay is issued weekly via direct deposit every Friday. Beyond wages, UPS offers a strong benefits package including extended health, dental, vision, and life insurance after one year of service, paid vacation starting at two weeks after year one, tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester, paid training, personal paid days off, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), an employee referral bonus program, and free onsite parking. Monthly union dues of approximately $52 and a one-time $50 initiation fee (deducted after 90 working days) apply.
