About the Role: Warehouse Associate – Night Shift

Working the midnight shift from 11:45 PM to 4:45 AM, Monday to Friday, you’ll be part of a team that keeps UPS’s package delivery network running on schedule. Your main duties involve loading and unloading packages from delivery vehicles and trailers, sorting packages by postal codes, and following UPS’s established package handling methods. The role typically runs 3 to 5 hours per day, with a requirement of 25 hours per week.

This is a unionized, permanent part-time position. You’ll be working in a physically demanding setting that includes exposure to varying temperatures inside trailers and the warehouse floor. Safety awareness and the ability to handle packages up to 70 lbs. (35 kg) are essential to performing the job well.

Benefits and Salary

UPS offers a starting wage of $18.15 per hour with automatic wage progression under the existing Union Collective Agreement. Employees receive weekly pay via direct deposit every Friday, along with paid training, personal paid days off, and 2 weeks of paid vacation after one year of service. After one year, you’ll also gain access to extended health care benefits including vision, dental, health, and life insurance. Additional perks include tuition reimbursement of up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility and program approval), an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), UPS Employee Discounts, and free onsite parking. Note that monthly union dues of approximately $52/month apply, along with a $50 initiation fee deducted after 90 working days.

Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Associate on the night shift, your work directly supports UPS’s ability to deliver packages on time across Canada. Each shift, you’ll be hands-on with the physical movement and organization of packages — a role where consistency, speed, and attention to detail are what make the difference.

• Load and unload packages into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers
• Sort and stock packages accurately based on postal codes
• Learn and apply UPS’s company-established package handling methods
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment during the midnight shift
• Operate safely inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
