UPS is hiring a Warehouse Associate (Days) at their Fort Erie, Ontario facility — a permanent part-time position with a weekday schedule and no weekend work required. This role is a hands-on general labour position based entirely in a warehouse setting. You’ll be unloading packages from trailers, scanning and sorting them, and loading them into UPS trucks based on destination. The shift runs Monday to Friday, approximately 1 PM to 6 PM, with some flexibility depending on daily package volume.

About the Role: Warehouse Associate (Days)

As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll be part of the core operations team that keeps packages moving efficiently through the UPS network. You’ll learn and apply UPS package handling methods, work with scanning equipment, and ensure packages are accurately sorted and loaded based on destination postal codes and cities. No prior experience is needed — full on-the-job training is provided from day one.

The environment is fast-paced and physical, requiring the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. You’ll work as part of a team where reliability and attention to detail matter. This role is covered by a Union Collective Agreement, which guarantees structured wage progression over time and provides workers with clear expectations around compensation and working conditions.

Benefits and Salary

This position starts at $18 per hour, paid weekly every Friday via direct deposit. Through the Union Collective Agreement, wages are guaranteed to increase — reaching $28.71 per hour after seniority plus 48 months of service. After one year, employees receive health, dental, and vision care benefits. Note that monthly union dues and a one-time union initiation fee (deducted after 90 working days) apply, along with a criminal background check requirement.

Responsibilities

Working in UPS’s Fort Erie warehouse, your day-to-day duties revolve around keeping freight moving accurately and on time. These tasks are essential to ensuring packages reach their destinations efficiently, and each team member plays a direct role in the overall success of daily operations.

• Load and unload UPS packages into and out of trailers as part of daily warehouse operations
• Scan and sort packages according to destination city and postal code
• Stock and stage packages for loading onto UPS delivery trucks
• Learn and apply proper UPS package handling methods as directed during training
• Work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy throughout each shift
