About the Role: Team Member – Customer Service Excellence
At the core of this position is the guest experience. From the moment someone walks through the door or pulls up to the drive-thru, your job is to ensure they feel valued. You’ll follow Tim Hortons’ S.E.T. principles — Smile, Eye Contact, Thank You — and apply the Make It Right approach to handle any concerns professionally. Strong product knowledge and attention to order accuracy are essential, from marking hot beverage lids correctly to repeating orders back to guests.
Beyond guest interaction, this role involves restaurant operations including product preparation, temperature logging, and maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized work area. You’ll also be expected to follow all health and safety standards, including proper sanitation procedures and the use of personal protective equipment as needed. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering a consistently positive guest experience from start to finish. Your day-to-day tasks span customer service, food preparation, sanitation, and teamwork — all of which contribute to keeping the restaurant running at its best during busy periods and quiet ones alike.
- Greet guests warmly and promptly within 5 seconds at the front counter and drive-thru
- Deliver consistent service using the S.E.T. principles — Smile, Eye Contact, Thank You
- Ensure order accuracy by repeating orders back to guests and marking hot beverage lids correctly
- Prepare all menu items following Tim Hortons’ Always Fresh procedures and operational guidelines
- Handle guest concerns professionally using the Make It Right approach, regardless of who caused the issue
- Monitor and record product temperatures in the Time & Temperature Log regularly
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, drive-thru area, dining room, and exterior
- Follow all health and safety legislation, sanitation procedures, and safe work practices
- Communicate product and showcase needs to ensure proper availability for guests
