Stockperson / Cartpusher – Walmart – Ottawa, ON

Walmart Canada is looking for a reliable Stockperson / Cartpusher at 100 Bayshore Dr, Ottawa. You’ll keep the front end moving—bringing carts back to the entrance, helping customers with carry-outs, and keeping walkways clear and safe.

About the Role

Most shifts start with a sweep of the lot: check corrals, collect strays from the perimeter, and return carts using approved equipment. You’ll rotate between entrances so customers always find carts ready, and you’ll flag hazards like ice, spills, or loose debris so they’re dealt with quickly.

Inside the store, you may pitch in with light stocking and clean-ups—facing shelves, returning misplaced items to the right departments, and keeping high-traffic areas tidy. You’ll complete simple equipment checks, wear the required PPE, and follow safety routines that keep the team and customers protected.

Requirements / Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather
• Ability to collect carts and assist with carry-outs (up to 49 lbs.)
• Clear communication and dependable teamwork
• Availability for varied shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights)
• Willingness to wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes, reflective vest)

Responsibilities

• Complete regular lot sweeps; retrieve carts from corrals and store perimeter
• Use cart-pushing equipment safely and complete basic inspection logs
• Assist customers with carry-outs; verify receipts per policy when requested
• Support cleanliness in entrances, restrooms, and other high-traffic areas
• Conduct quick safety checks and report hazards for follow-up
• Keep work areas organized and compliant with store safety standards
