As a Stocker with Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. in Winnipeg, MB, you will be responsible for stocking, straightening, and maintaining merchandise on the warehouse sales floor. About the role: Stocker
In this position, you’ll ensure products are available, accessible, and displayed correctly by:
- Following merchandising standards: aligning product, collecting stray items, and maintaining high stock levels
- Coordinating with supervisors/managers to determine merchandising plans and priorities
- Preparing product lists for forklift drivers to bring items from steel for stocking
- Using a box knife to open boxes, cut shrink-wrap/twine, and prepare products for display
- Wrapping, tying, tagging, and returning pallets to steel
- Stocking opened cases on shelves and consolidating partial pallets
- Moving pallets with a manual pallet jack
- Creating and verifying computer-generated signage and marking unmarked products
- Setting up and modifying displays for safe member handling (e.g., securing heavy items)
- Keeping the sales floor clean: removing cardboard, slip-sheets, debris; sweeping floors
- Operating cardboard baler, trash compactor, and shrink-wrap machine
- Providing prompt, courteous member service, including helping load large items
