Working Monday through Friday on a 5×8 shift starting at 13:00, you’ll be part of a dedicated maintenance team responsible for the FedEx vehicle fleet and ground support equipment at the Cambridge (YKFA) location. About the Role: Sr Vehicle Technician – PUD

In this role, you’ll deliver timely, quality, and cost-effective maintenance across the FedEx vehicle fleet. That means hands-on work with gasoline, diesel, and hydraulic powered equipment, including troubleshooting with advanced diagnostic software such as JPRO® Professional, Cummins Insite Professional, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link, Ford IDS with VCM-2, and Allison DOC® Fleets. You’ll be expected to perform preventative maintenance schedules, conduct repairs, make modifications, and keep thorough documentation of all work completed.

Safety is central to everything done at FedEx. You’ll apply proper welding techniques and safety procedures, use appropriate mechanical lifting assistance when handling components over 70 lbs, and consistently follow established protocols. The ability to work within a PC Windows environment and use basic Microsoft Office applications rounds out the day-to-day expectations of the position.

Responsibilities

As a Sr Vehicle Technician – PUD, your day centres on keeping the FedEx fleet road-ready. From scheduled preventative maintenance to urgent diagnostics and repairs, the work you do directly supports on-time delivery operations across the Cambridge area. Accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards are just as important as the technical work itself.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on FedEx fleet vehicles and ground support equipment on a regular schedule
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using advanced diagnostic tools and software
  • Conduct repairs and modifications on gasoline, diesel, and hydraulic powered equipment

  • Apply welding techniques following established safety procedures
  • Lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components up to 70 lbs, using mechanical lifting assistance for heavier loads

  • Complete mandatory training and recurrence certifications as required by FedEx

Requirements / Skills
