Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for keeping the FedEx fleet running smoothly and safely. Your work directly supports on-time delivery operations across the region, making quality vehicle maintenance a critical part of the business every single day.
- Perform preventative maintenance on Federal Express vehicles and ground support equipment to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair gasoline, diesel, and hydraulic-powered equipment using advanced diagnostic tools
- Utilize diagnostic software including JPRO® Professional, Cummins Insite, Ford IDS, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link, and others
- Carry out modifications to fleet vehicles as required, ensuring quality and compliance at every step
- Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately and in a timely manner
- Apply welding skills and follow established safety procedures when required
- Lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components up to 70 lbs independently, and heavier components with appropriate mechanical assistance
Requirements / Skills

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Automotive Service Technician or Truck and Coach Technician certification or licence required
- Valid G licence with a good driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Minimum 3 years of fleet experience; fleet maintenance experience is a strong asset
- Electronic troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of automotive diagnostic testing equipment
- Basic welding knowledge and familiarity with related safety procedures
- Own a complete set of automotive or truck hand tools, including metric sizes and storage cabinets
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word preferred; familiarity with diagnostic software platforms preferred
