About the Role: Service Deli Clerk

The Service Deli Clerk is responsible for preparing a wide variety of hot and cold food products, including assembling party trays, take-and-bake pizzas, rotisserie chickens, ribs, and fresh salads. You’ll use both commercial ovens and rotisserie ovens, as well as automated wrapping and labeling equipment, to ensure products are ready for display and purchase.

This position also requires strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health code standards. From rotating inventory and maintaining displays to cleaning equipment and supporting other areas of the department, you’ll help ensure customers always receive fresh, safe, and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble deli meals, entrees, pizzas, rotisserie chickens, and ribs.
• Package, wrap, seal, weigh, and label food items using automated equipment.
• Stock and rotate display cases, ensuring freshness and presentation standards.
• Follow Costco food preparation formulas and health code requirements.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas daily.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Provide prompt and courteous member service at all times.
• Assist in other areas of the department and warehouse when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Safety Certification – Level 1 required on the first day.
• No previous experience required; training provided by Costco.
• Ability to follow sanitation and safety standards consistently.
• For Quebec locations: must be able to communicate in French (oral and written).
