About the Role: Senior Customer Success Manager

The base salary range for this position in Calgary, AB is $126,000 to $210,400 CAD annually. As part of Amazon’s total compensation approach, the package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Responsibilities

Day to day, this role sits right at the intersection of technology strategy and business outcomes. You’ll be the central force coordinating multiple workstreams, guiding customer executives, and ensuring that AWS’s full range of capabilities are being put to work effectively.   • Drive measurable outcomes by leading cloud and AI transformation engagements, accelerating value realization across migration, adoption, and strategic technology launches
  • Identify and remove barriers that slow customers down in their transformation journeys, helping them build the governance, operating models, and data infrastructure needed for sustained progress
  • Lead executive-level engagements, co-innovation sessions, and strategic summits, expanding relationships across Lines of Business, Product, and Technology at the VP level
  • Provide program-wide visibility across multiple workstreams using structured delivery mechanisms and measurement frameworks to ensure customers realize the full value of their AWS investment
  • Translate strategic initiatives in the account plan into executable actions, working backwards from the customer’s key milestones
  • Manage reporting and tracking cadence, owning education plans, roadmap-to-business-outcome alignments, Executive Briefing Sessions, and go-live events
  • Develop repeatable mechanisms and share best practices and thought leadership in public forums to advance the broader cloud ecosystem
  • Evangelize AWS services and influence enterprise customers to adopt transformative cloud and AI solutions

Requirements / Skills

AWS is looking for a senior-level professional who combines deep technical fluency with the communication skills to engage confidently at the executive table. You don’t need to be building infrastructure yourself, but you need to understand it well enough to earn the trust of those who do. A background in enterprise environments and large-scale program delivery is essential.

  • 8+ years of experience leading large-scale technical or engineering programs, with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, and successful program completion
  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience engaging with customer executives, technologists, or partners to solve business problems using advanced technologies
  • Cross-functional leadership experience leading both technical and non-technical transformation project teams across broad organizational structures
  • Executive stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to influence senior decision-makers in enterprise environments
  • Cloud migration and modernization experience implementing cloud services (asset, though not mandatory)
  • AWS or other cloud certification is considered a strong asset
