As a Seasonal Associate at Walmart Canada, you’ll rotate through several departments depending on the time of year — from the Garden Centre in spring and early summer, to Bikes during summer, and Toys during the holiday season. Each assignment brings its own tasks and pace, keeping the role engaging throughout the year.

About the Role: Seasonal Associate

The core of this role is delivering exceptional customer service while keeping the sales floor well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. You’ll greet customers, help them find what they’re looking for, assist with purchase decisions, and handle returns or concerns professionally. On the floor, you’ll be responsible for stocking and rotating merchandise, setting up product displays, and ensuring pricing and signage are accurate.

Depending on the season, your duties may shift significantly. Garden Centre Associates are responsible for zoning, watering, and culling plants. During summer, you may assist with the bike department, which involves some light physical activity. The outdoor soil compound area requires medium to heavy lifting, sometimes as part of a team lift. Limited cash handling and carry-in/carry-out tasks are also part of the mix. Throughout it all, you’ll be expected to maintain a safe work environment and follow Walmart’s policies and procedures.
