RME Planner – Amazon – Delta, BC
Location: Vancouver, BC | Company: Amazon
Behind every Amazon package that arrives at your door is a complex network of equipment, robotics, and people working seamlessly together. At the heart of keeping that network running is the Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team — and they’re looking for an RME Planner to join them at their facility in Delta, British Columbia. If you thrive on organization, data-driven decision-making, and keeping industrial operations running at peak performance, this could be exactly the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
In this role, you won’t be reacting to problems — you’ll be preventing them. As an RME Planner, you’ll develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, coordinate with technicians and vendors, and ensure spare parts are always on hand. It’s a role that blends technical knowledge with strategic planning in one of the world’s most dynamic logistics environments.
About the Role: RME Planner
As an RME Planner at Amazon, your primary focus will be building maintenance plans and schedules that support a reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) program. You’ll screen APM (Asset Performance Management) work orders, audit equipment, estimate labour and material requirements, and coordinate proactive maintenance activities during available downtime windows. Your goal is to ensure that Amazon’s Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and robotics systems operate reliably and efficiently every single day.
Collaboration is central to this position. You’ll work closely with maintenance management, service technicians, and external vendors to align schedules and ensure planned work targets are consistently met. You’ll also be expected to physically engage with the facility environment — moving materials, climbing ladders, and working through shifts of up to 12 hours — making this a hands-on planning and coordination role in a fast-paced fulfilment centre setting.
Benefits and Salary
Amazon offers a competitive hourly wage of $26.00 to $43.00 CAD for this position, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. As a total compensation employer, Amazon’s package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Employees have access to a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, and basic life & AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support overall health and well-being.
