FedEx Canada is hiring a Ramp Handler (Package Handler) in Richmond, BC. In this interview-based role, you’ll load and unload aircraft and vehicles, scan and transport freight to and from the ramp and within the facility, ensuring a safe and efficient flow of packages.
As part of the FedEx operations team, you will handle freight using established hand-to-surface methods, work around GSE (tugs, belt loaders), and support a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on accuracy, safety, and on-time performance.
About the role: Ramp Handler
This position focuses on moving freight to the correct location by scanning, reading labels/charts, and verifying numbers. You’ll load and unload trailers, pallets, conveyor carts, and aircraft containers, while lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling packages throughout the shift.
Success in the role requires completing all ramp training and certifications (e.g., GSE, tug, belt loader, t-stacking, DG) and maintaining required accreditations via annual recurrency training. Strong communication, problem solving, and time management are essential.

Requirements / Skills
- High school diploma or educational equivalent
- Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record
- Ability to complete ramp training/certifications (GSE, tug, belt loader, t-stacking, DG) and maintain yearly recurrency
- Good problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills; able to work independently and in a team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
