About the Role: Program Manager, Risk and Compliance

In this position, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that Google’s policies and global legal requirements governing the contingent workforce are consistently followed. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of risk and controls subject matter experts

  • Develop and execute plans to assess risk impact and control design, including objectives, scope, approach, budgets, and timelines
  • Formulate balanced recommendations to strengthen processes and controls in partnership with management and risk stakeholders
  • Monitor and validate the completion of business mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with policy and control owners across the organization to improve risk mitigation processes
  • Prepare comprehensive reports documenting scope, procedures, findings, and recommendations of work performed

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in compliance, risk management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and a track record of influencing across complex organizations. Advanced credentials in audit or compliance are a strong asset.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting
  • 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision, or team leadership role
  • CPA/CIA, Audit, Legal or related professional certification (preferred)
  • Risk identification and assessment experience, including designing and testing controls (preferred)
  • Project execution skills — delivering initiatives on time and with quality (preferred)
  • Stakeholder influence — ability to work horizontally across multiple stakeholder groups (preferred)
