About the Role: Product Designer II

This role comes with a base salary range of $110,000 to $140,000, with variance based on experience, education, and skills. In addition to base pay, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and may qualify for equity grants through the company’s long-term incentive plan. Responsibilities

As a Product Designer II at Tim Hortons, you’ll own the design process from brief to delivery across multiple digital platforms. Your work will directly influence how guests experience the brand online and in-store, making thoroughness and user empathy essential to everything you do.

  • Design and manage digital experiences for the Tim Hortons app, self-ordering kiosks, website, and emerging platforms
  • Review and vet product briefs, clarify requirements, and provide design feedback before work begins
  • Lead the design lifecycle from concept to high-fidelity UI, including information architecture, user flows, and wireframes
  • Facilitate design critiques and working sessions with product, engineering, and cross-functional partners
  • Contribute to and maintain design systems, tokens, components, and patterns to ensure platform consistency
  • Identify research needs and partner with insights teams to design appropriate usability studies and experiments
  • Conduct and synthesize usability tests and evaluative research to inform design decisions
  • Iterate on solutions based on feedback, technical constraints, and timeline requirements

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of product design experience across enterprise, startup, agency, or in-house settings. Tim Hortons is looking for someone who applies user-centric thinking with rigour, communicates design rationale clearly, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • 4+ years of experience as a product designer in enterprise, startup, agency, or equivalent environments
  • Strong grasp of foundational design principles and how they apply to digital platforms and user journeys
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Accessibility best practices applied consistently across design and digital experience work
  • Experience with research platforms such as UserZoom, UserTesting, or dscout
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS; React is a plus) to collaborate effectively with engineers
  • Experience using generative AI as a design aid in prototyping, interface development, and usability evaluation
  • Strong communication skills — able to articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders in writing and verbally
