Responsibilities

The Produce Stocker role keeps the produce section running smoothly from open to close. You’ll be responsible for maintaining product presentation, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and supporting the overall shopping experience for Walmart customers in Whitby.

• Zone the department regularly to keep the produce area neat, organized, and customer-ready
• Rotate stock and check for expired or near-expiry products to ensure freshness standards are met
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced throughout the department
• Adhere to cold chain compliance standards including thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and product rotation procedures
• Follow food safety and handling procedures including sanitation and cleaning protocols
• Process ordering, clearance, and markdowns following proper signing, flagging, and labelling procedures
• Stock merchandise and downstock as applicable, and apply product protection when required
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines at all times while working on the floor
