About the Role: Produce Stocker

As a Produce Stocker, your primary focus will be maintaining the produce department so it always looks its best and is fully stocked for shoppers. You’ll rotate stock, check for expired products, ensure proper signage and pricing, and keep the department zoned and orderly. Every task you perform directly impacts the customer experience and the freshness of products on the shelves.

A big part of this role involves following food safety and handling procedures, including cold chain compliance, temperature recording, thermometer calibrations, and sanitation protocols. You’ll also work within Walmart’s established guidelines for ordering, markups, markdowns, and modular setups, ensuring the department runs smoothly and safely at all times.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.05 per hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities

Working as a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada means staying busy and keeping things running smoothly in one of the store’s most important departments. From rotating stock to setting modulars, your day-to-day work directly contributes to a clean, well-organized, and customer-friendly produce section.

• Zone the department regularly to ensure merchandise is neatly arranged and easy to navigate for customers
• Rotate stock and check for expired products to maintain freshness and food safety standards
• Ensure proper signage and pricing so merchandise is clearly labelled and accurately priced at all times
• Adhere to cold chain compliance standards, including thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and product rotation
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic produce area
• Process ordering, clearance, and markups/markdowns according to Walmart’s established procedures
• Stock merchandise and downstock as applicable, applying product protection where required
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars, and set new shelf caps
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines consistently throughout all tasks
