This is a part-time, permanent position suited to candidates who thrive in a physical, fast-moving environment and want steady work with real long-term earning potential.

Working out of 2900 Steeles Ave W, you’ll be on the floor Tuesday to Saturday from 4:00am to 9:00am, sorting, stocking, loading, and unloading packages for UPS delivery vehicles and trailers. About the Role: Preloader

As a Preloader at UPS Concord, your day-to-day will revolve around keeping the warehouse running efficiently. You’ll be loading and unloading packages into delivery vehicles and trailers, sorting parcels by postal code, and following UPS’s established package handling methods. It’s a role that demands physical stamina and focus — you’ll be on your feet and moving throughout your entire shift.

This is a unionized position, meaning your wages, rights, and working conditions are protected under a Collective Agreement. Starting at $18.50/hr, you’ll benefit from automatic pay progression that tops out at $36.53/hr after 48 months of service — a meaningful career path, not just a job.

Benefits and Salary

The starting wage is $18.50/hr with automatic progression under the existing Union Collective Agreement (reaching a top rate of $36.53/hr after 48 months). Pay is issued weekly via direct deposit every Friday. Additional benefits include tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility), paid training, personal paid days off, and 2 weeks of paid vacation after 1 year of service (scaling up to 6 weeks after 25 years). After one year, employees gain access to extended health care benefits covering vision, health, life insurance, and dental. Responsibilities

Every shift at UPS Concord keeps the package delivery network moving on time. As a Preloader, you’ll play a direct role in ensuring parcels reach the right vehicles and trailers efficiently and safely — accuracy and physical readiness are key to success in this role.

• Load and unload packages into UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers
• Sort and stock packages accurately based on postal codes
• Learn and apply company-established package handling methods correctly
• Work inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles as required
• Maintain pace in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment

Requirements / Skills

UPS is looking for candidates who are physically fit, reliable, and detail-oriented. This role is best suited to someone comfortable with early morning shifts and manual labour. A can-do attitude and willingness to follow established procedures go a long way here.

• Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35 kg) regularly
• Full availability to work Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00am onwards
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes for accurate sorting
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
• Warehouse experience is considered an asset but not required
