UPS is currently hiring a Package Operations – Local Sorter to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. This part-time, permanent position is ideal for individuals seeking a physically active role in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
As a Local Sorter, you will be responsible for sorting and stocking packages, as well as loading and unloading them into UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
As a Package Operations – Local Sorter with UPS, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure packages are sorted, loaded, and unloaded efficiently and accurately.
- Loading and unloading packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers.
- Sorting and stocking packages based on postal codes.
- Learning and executing company-established package handling methods to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications / Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) without assistance.
- Full availability to work Monday to Friday (all five days of the week).
- Must be able to work 25 hours per week legally.
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles.
- No prior experience required.
Compensation & Benefits
UPS offers a competitive pay rate of $17.80 per hour (base rate of $17.30/hr. + an hourly bonus of $0.50) for this position. In addition to your hourly wage, UPS provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
- Automatic pay rate progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement, reaching $28.71/hr. after 48 months of service.

Working Conditions
