About the Role: Package Handler
As a Package Handler at UPS Kanata, your primary duties revolve around keeping the warehouse operation running smoothly during the early morning shift. You’ll be loading and unloading packages from delivery vehicles and trailers, sorting packages by postal code, and following UPS’s established package handling procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout every shift.

Benefits and Salary
The starting hourly wage is $18.50, with automatic pay progression to $31.49 per hour after 48 months of service, as outlined in the Union Collective Agreement. UPS offers weekly pay via direct deposit every Friday, paid training, and personal paid days off. After one year of service, you’ll be eligible for extended health care benefits including vision, dental, life insurance, and health coverage, along with 2 weeks of paid vacation (increasing up to 6 weeks after 25 years). There’s also a tuition reimbursement program up to $2,000 per semester, an Employee Assistance Program, an Employee Referral Bonus Program, immediate access to UPS Employee Discounts, and free onsite parking. Note that monthly union dues of approximately $52/month and a one-time union initiation fee of $50 (deducted after 90 working days) apply.
