Package Handler – FedEx – Saint-Hubert, QC
Location: Montreal, QC | Company: Fedex
FedEx is looking for a Package Handler to join their operations at 5005 J.A. Bombardier in Saint-Hubert, Quebec. This is a hands-on, physical role at one of Canada’s most recognized logistics companies, and it’s a solid fit for anyone who thrives in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll be working on the loading and unloading of packages, sorting shipments, using handheld scanners, and keeping everything moving safely and efficiently through the facility. Depending on business needs, you may rotate through different assignments such as Loader, Unloader, Palletizer, SWAK (Scan Weigh and Key), Quality Assurance, and more.
About the Role: Package Handler
As a Package Handler at FedEx, your primary responsibility is the safe and efficient physical handling of packages — lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and placing them throughout the sort operation. You’ll use the “hand-to-surface” method for all package handling and operate equipment like dock carts, skate wheel rollers, chutes, and handheld scanners. Shifts typically run approximately 3 to 5 hours, with the possibility of working more than one shift per day.
For those who qualify, there are also specialized roles available, including Package Handler Trainer (responsible for coaching other PHs on proper techniques) and Package Handler – Air (which involves a multi-step inspection process for air-restricted packages). Both of these assignments require six months of FedEx experience and additional training. Working conditions include exposure to hot and cold temperatures and loud noise, so physical readiness is important. If you reside in Quebec, bilingualism in French and English is required.
Benefits and Salary
This is a part-time position, 5 days per week, with a morning schedule from approximately 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.37 per hour. FedEx is committed to an inclusive and equitable workplace, and encourages applications from women, persons with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, and members of 2SLGBTQ+ communities. Accommodation is available during the recruitment process upon request.
