Responsibilities

Working in the OTC department means staying on top of both the customer-facing and behind-the-scenes tasks that keep this section of the store operating well. From maintaining product presentation to following proper compliance procedures, every task you carry out contributes to a better shopping experience and a more efficient department.

  • Assist customers in the OTC department while maintaining excellent, friendly service aligned with Walmart’s values
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all practices consistent with the Privacy Act
  • Maximize department sales and profit with direction from the Pharmacy Manager
  • Rotate stock and check for expired products to ensure product safety and freshness
  • Zone the department and maintain proper modular and feature presentation
  • Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and signing, flagging, pricing, and labels
  • Keep the area clean (NCO standard) and free of fixtures, debris, foreign objects, and liquids
  • Maintain zero pricing errors in accordance with the Scanning Credibility Program
  • Calibrate equipment used in the prescription filling process as required
