As an Order Picker with Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. in Quebec City, QC, you will pull merchandise from stock to prepare high-volume Business Centre orders. You will load items onto flat carts or pallets, transport them using a manual pallet jack, pack cooler and freezer items appropriately, and help load delivery trucks while following all safety and security procedures.
In this role, you will support accurate and efficient order fulfillment by scanning pick tickets, selecting correct items and quantities, and ensuring merchandise is in good condition. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and provide prompt, courteous member service.
About the role: Order Picker
The Order Picker follows Picking department procedures for duties and paperwork, using a wearable hand scanner to locate and pull items. You will move pallets through the warehouse, enlist forklift drivers when needed for large-quantity items, and spot to keep people clear of fall danger zones.
You will enter quantities or weights into the scanner, note substitutions or out-of-stock items, transfer completed orders to the audit area, and move approved orders onto trucks for delivery. Assistance in other areas of the Picking department or Business Centre may be required as needed.
