As an Operations Supervisor with Federal Express Corporation Canada in Brampton, ON, you will support the FedEx Express (FXE) Safety Above All culture while managing day-to-day sort operations and guiding assigned Cargo Handlers (CH) within the station. You will lead teams in proper package handling, routing, and recovery of potential service failures, helping ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient station performance.
This is a frontline supervisor role focused on operational execution, employee coaching, and ensuring administrative processes follow FXE policies and applicable government regulations.
About the role: Operations Supervisor
The Operations Supervisor has oversight for CH functions, including directing work activities and supporting employee mentoring, coaching, and training. You will help maintain compliance with policies and procedures, drive consistent package handling practices, and contribute to the station’s ability to prevent and recover service issues during the sort.
You will also support strong team performance by prioritizing and delegating in time-sensitive situations, addressing conflict, communicating clearly and empathetically, and taking accountability for issues while finding practical solutions.

Requirements / Skills
College degree
2 years FedEx sort operations or senior-level hourly role experience OR 2 years supervisory experience in a related industry
Valid driver’s licence and a good driving record
Preferred: EXCEL Leadership Development Stream
Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
Ability to complete and maintain required training, including DG certification
Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, prioritizing, delegating, and conflict resolution
Clear, concise communication with the ability to listen and respond with empathy
Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
