About the Role: OMNI Order Fulfillment Associate

As an OMNI Customer Fulfillment Associate, you’ll be responsible for efficiently assembling online customer orders from various temperature zones within the store. This means working across fresh, frozen, and dry goods sections while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and food hygiene. You’ll pick orders with great care, ensuring freshness and accuracy from start to finish.

Beyond picking and packing, this role also involves direct customer interaction and a commitment to workplace safety. You’ll operate material handling equipment responsibly, complete safety pre-inspection checks, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Being part of this team means contributing to continuous improvement and adapting to shifting priorities to keep deliveries on time.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.25 per hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities

Working as an OMNI Order Fulfillment Associate at Walmart means playing a direct role in getting online grocery and merchandise orders into customers’ hands accurately and on time. Every task you perform — from selecting fresh products to correctly labelling packages — contributes to a seamless omni-channel shopping experience that Canadians rely on.

• Pick and assemble online orders from various temperature zones (fresh, frozen, dry) with care and quality in mind to ensure on-time delivery
• Pack orders with close attention to detail, including distinguishing between similar products, verifying exact quantities, and confirming correct product codes
• Select the highest-quality products, avoiding damaged items and always choosing the freshest available
• Document and label all orders accurately by interpreting pick slips, packaging details, shipping labels, and other fulfillment documentation
• Optimize tote fill by packing orders in a space-efficient manner while maintaining product quality and integrity
• Balance fulfillment duties with customer-facing interactions, resolving any issues that arise in a helpful and professional manner
• Maintain food hygiene and safety standards, including keeping your work area clean, promptly cleaning up spills, and ensuring all totes are debris-free before use
• Operate material handling equipment safely and responsibly, completing all pre-inspection checks before use
• Participate in continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to operational procedures, productivity, safety, and quality standards
