About the Role: Office Import Coordinator I
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for processing customs releases and confirming declarations using client profiles in the CCBS system. This includes creating or modifying line codes and classifications, handling delivery service and import permit requests, and ensuring proper documentation is gathered and forwarded to the appropriate government bodies when required.
You’ll be working closely with import operations, support services, inbound services, sales teams, and external customs clients and partners. Collaboration is at the heart of this position — you’ll regularly coordinate with clients, UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents to keep shipments moving smoothly and compliantly.

Responsibilities
As an Office Import Coordinator I at UPS, your daily work revolves around the accurate and timely processing of customs documentation and declarations. Each task plays a direct role in ensuring compliant, efficient import operations across Canada.
- Process customs releases and confirm declarations for repetitive and non-complex shipments using the CCBS system
- Create or modify line codes and HS classifications within client profiles
- Perform data entry tasks including opening customer files, validating information, and handling credit and invoicing
- Collect supplementary documentation from customers, drivers, customs offices, and other relevant parties as needed
- Identify discrepancies in customer profiles and take appropriate corrective action
- Answer standard questions and requests from customers, drivers, customs, and other offices
- Handle delivery service and import permit requests when required
- Gather and submit proper documentation to government authorities
- Collaborate as a team member with clients, UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents
Requirements / Skills
UPS is looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, bilingual, and comfortable navigating customs-related systems and documentation. - Bilingualism (French & English) — intermediate verbal and written communication skills in both languages are required, given regular client interactions outside Quebec
- Experience: 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, regulations, and other government departments
- Basic understanding of the HS (Harmonized System) classification system
- Basic computer skills with the ability to work within data entry and brokerage management systems
- Availability Monday to Friday, with flexibility regarding start and finish times
