About the Role: Manager, HR Administration

Responsibilities

In this leadership role, the Manager, HR Administration is responsible for overseeing the full scope of HR administrative operations — from payroll and timekeeping to regulatory reporting and policy implementation. Each of these responsibilities plays a vital role in supporting the broader People-Service-Profit philosophy that FedEx has built its culture around. Your day-to-day will be dynamic and impactful.

  • Select, train, and develop HR administrative team members to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate processes are maintained
  • Provide leadership and direction to Payroll-Timekeeping Analysts and manage all related processes, including enhancements and regulatory compliance changes
  • Develop action plans designed to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of HR support functions and ensure consistent policy application
  • Oversee benefit eligibility and administrative processes for inactive team members
  • Prepare reports and analysis for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable provincial and federal laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Partner with HR Technology (HRT) on business requirements for HR systems and technology upgrades
  • Implement and interpret HR policies, procedures, and processes across the team

  • Working knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, WCB, WSIB, CNESST compliance, and Canadian payroll regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
  • Bilingual in English and French is preferred (required for Quebec-based roles)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational needs
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and the United States as required
