Based out of the Marché Central location in Montréal, QC, Costco is looking for a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join the team at its Optical Lab facility. About the Role: Maintenance Assistant

As a Maintenance Assistant at Costco’s Optical Lab, your primary focus is maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility that meets company standards. You’ll clean floors using scrubbers, manage waste through trash and cardboard compactors, wash windows and walls, vacuum rafters, and change light bulbs — all while ensuring dust levels remain at a minimum. You’ll also assist with grounds maintenance including leaf blowing, litter pickup, roof checks, snow and ice removal, painting, and concrete floor repairs.

• Operate the Interal maintenance system and conduct store inventory
• Perform internal and external purchases as required
• Provide courteous service to members, employees, and suppliers at all times
• Follow all Optical Lab safety, security, and operational procedures and standards

Requirements / Skills

Costco is looking for a candidate who is reliable, safety-conscious, and physically capable of handling the demands of a production facility environment. Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity are essential, and prior janitorial experience will give you a strong head start. Given the Montréal location, bilingualism in French and English is a requirement.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s licence is required
