Leadership Technical Program Manager II, AI, Google Workspace – Google – Waterloo, ON
At the intersection of artificial intelligence and cloud productivity, Google is looking for a Leadership Technical Program Manager II to join the Google Workspace Program Management team. This senior-level role is open to candidates in Waterloo, ON as well as Sunnyvale, CA, New York, NY, and Seattle, WA — giving high-calibre leaders flexibility in where they base themselves while driving impact at a global scale.
This isn’t your average program management role. You’ll be steering generative AI (GenAI) and ecosystem programs across some of the world’s most widely used productivity tools — Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Vids, and Meet — shaping how work gets done for billions of users. If you’re energized by complex, high-stakes technical challenges and want to influence the future of AI-powered productivity, this role puts you squarely at that frontier.
About the Role: Leadership Technical Program Manager II, AI
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Workspace ecosystems and cross-Intelligence, you’ll lead a team of technical program managers while also owning program management for a broader team of software engineers. You’ll be guiding a rich portfolio of infrastructure and AI projects, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and operations partners across multiple organizations. This is a horizontal role — meaning you’ll have visibility and influence across all Workspace products, not just one vertical.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with Google DeepMind model builders and senior leadership, operating at the intersection of technical depth and strategic direction. Whether you’re translating complex engineering trade-offs to executives or driving resource allocation and governance decisions across a large program portfolio, you’ll be expected to lead with both credibility and clarity. The team’s mandate is clear: build the productivity tools the world will rely on 5 to 10 years from now.
